Safeguarding

St Chads’s Church puts the safety, care and protection of children, young people and adults at the hearts of everything we do. Our PCC (Parochial Church Council) has adopted the national safeguarding policy of the Church of England ‘Promoting a Safer Church’.

Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Mrs Susan White. Please contact the office initially on 01926 564402 or email [email protected] if you wish to report a safeguarding concern within the parish.

The Diocese of Coventry has a 24-hour Safeguarding Reporting telephone number on 024 7652 1345.

All of our staff and volunteers who work with children and vulnerable adults are obliged to undergo an extensive safer recruitment process including DBS checks, references, confidential declaration and face-to-face interview. They are also given regular training, supervision and management in their roles. You may read more about the Diocese of Coventry’s policies and approach to Safeguarding from their website.

If you are concerned that someone you know is at risk of, or is being abused, or presents and imminent danger to others, please report the matter to the Local Authority Social Care Service on 01926 412080.

This information is also available on the Safeguarding noticeboards in St Chads Church.
